Agricultural R&D Field Day 2022

Research and development of Far North Queensland’s major agricultural commodities came come under the spotlight at a field day Mareeba, on 29 July 2022.

FNQ Growers hosted peak bodies who represent growers of the various agricultural commodities, industry stakeholders and commercial operators.

To compliment the displays, two forums put the spotlight on the issues impacting horticulture in the region, including the state of play in key industries like mangoes, bananas, avocados, citrus and papaya, and took a look at opportunities in cotton, innovation and export.

We are proud to announce the winner of Charlie Nastasi Horticultural Farmer of the Year is Lorraine Stopford, the first female award recipient.
